Our Mission

Our Vision

It is the vision of the Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program that someday the need for our services will cease to exist, that domestic violence and sexual assault will not be tolerated by anyone in the community, and all relationships will be loving, supportive and safe. Sandhills Crisis Intervention Program does not discriminate against any person on the basis of actual or perceived, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, immigration status or physical or cognitive ability.

We envision a community that embraces any man, woman or child who experiences domestic violence and/or sexual assault. As members of the community, we join together in our commitment to the victims, and we boldly take action to affect change, through empowerment based services.

We foresee a society that courageously holds abusers accountable.  We hope that tomorrow’s victims of domestic violence and sexual assault will be able to stay in their own homes and re-build their lives free from fear.

Our vision is that children, who have seen and experienced far more than their short years should demand, are able to love, laugh and recapture the childhood that was taken from them too early.  Our dream for them is to break the cycle of violence and surround them with lessons of hope, understanding and acceptance. Our vision is that people that have experienced or have been affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault will break the cycle of violence.
